What a different world it would be? Intriguing, right!? 🤔 . Possibly, we will have happy, loving, caring, fulfilling, emotionally & mentally well connected family/ social relationships even in the real life, not just in social media pics/posts. (no offense here😅) . People will be fully present/available with their loved ones instead of just being there physically ( perhaps this's the root cause of most of the broken families & dissatisfied interpersonal relationships). Despite the ubiquity of social media, we are facing an epidemic loneliness, and still there is an ever increasing urge to connect with thousands of people virtually more than paying attention to ones we share life with. . Perhaps one of the most powerful tool for improving the quality of our life is to use social media mindfully. Furthermore, enjoy, appreciate and love life & your surroundings, stay *Mindful* instead just being *Mind-full* about whole world and rushing to the next moment. . Whoa!! Just the thought of it makes life so much happier, fuller and better. However, as far my personal life is concerned, I religiously follow the concept of Digital Detox & Connecting with your Inner- Self, Surrounding & Loved ones without any digital hindrance at all, pretty much everyday in some or other way. I believe that's the need of hour. . Likewise, you all can incorporate this little concept in your life in some or other way, weather Social Media closes down in the evening or not. 💭T R A N S I T I O N S —— 💭Signs We’re In A Life Transition 🔹We feel confused, pigeon-holed + stuck. We start asking questions such as: Does this fulfill me? What is my role here? 🔹Many of us have a space we can switch off in. Transitions can change the location of our resources. What we once considered a safe haven, is now proving difficult to fully exhale in 🔹Tuning in to our favorite podcast or something Attenborough based isn’t as effective as it was before 🔹Our body slows us down. We feel fatigued, we contract a virus, we strain a muscle. The wisdom of the body steps in when necessary 🔹Even if we’re skeptical at heart, [hi fam🙋‍♀️] it can be difficult for us to write off the odd coincidences + patterns emerging; a topic, a symbol or a word that’s been cropping up in our world a lot lately 🔹Our thoughts feel as though they’re caught between two frequencies. We’re unable to concentrate or give our full attention to one thing as we attempt to address the root cause of our unease —— 📕Life transitions are a guaranteed part of life. From development, to relationships, to locations, to jobs; betwixt + between all our endings + beginnings, lies a transition. A time of uncertainty, desire, fantasy, fear, anxiety + hope 📗What advice would Present-You offer your Past Self, who was experiencing the discomfort of this liminal space? My family bought a treadmill because I'm too anxious to go to a gym and I went on this morning and worked really hard. I only did half an hour but it's my first time and I will build it up. THOUGHTS The point of spiritual growth is not to always have 'good' and saintly thoughts. We live within a collective unconscious that has a very dark shadow. Our human mind is bound to have thoughts that may be 'dark' and involve competition, jealousy, judgment, fear or shame etc. . No, the point of life is not to change every single thought you have into a 'good' or 'more positive' thought. That would be very tiring. . The point of spiritual growth is to start to become more aware of the Awareness and ever-present stillness beyond thought. . To start to create more space between You and your thoughts And from this place, to start to take them less personally and more lightly. . You can take responsibility not by trying to change and control every thought. But by releasing these thoughts to the Infinite beyond them. To realise that your thoughts are a very small and transient aspect of consciousness. And that who You are is far greater, wiser and vaster than your personal mind can ever comprehend. . So try not to put all your energy into trying to 'fix', change or judge your thoughts That is still the mind. . Instead put your energy into becoming more aware of the silent space beyond them. From this place, naturally your thoughts will start become more benevolent and kinder. Not through force or judgement but through surrender to the infinite loving Grace that You are.

Jedoch muss ich hier was loswerden, was Dein Leben grundlegend verändern kann: Du kannst das Wohlbefinden und gute Laune trainieren! Und erster Schritt ist lediglich das Verständnis dafür, dass das Gegenteil davon Dich niemals weiterbringen wird und vollkommen unnützlich ist! Wir haben es noch aus der tiefsten Kindheit, wenn wir weinen, kommen die Eltern und trösten uns. Bringt das Verhalten was, wenn es um einen Erwachsenen geht? Eher nichts, sogar das Gegenteil. Die Opferrolle, das ständige Gestresst-Sein, Enttäuschungen... Die Liste ist lang, aber brauchst Du das alles, wenn du einfach nur gute Laune haben kannst? Egal was passiert! Mit der guten Laune bist Du viel produktiver, das Leben macht viel mehr Spaß und deine Umwelt verändert sich auch zum Positiven! THE POWER OF LISTENING TO UNDERSTAND: The work I do as a  #psychotherapist is no small challenge. I understand how lots of times people see it as a mundane job--"you sit and listen to people all day!" Well, as you've heard before and as my colleagues already know that is the least of what I do, though at the same time, it's an important aspect of what I do! But, the art of listening to understand, to empathize, to learn, to imagine and to hold space for others is an art and an active performance of will, desire, belief in this healing process and a powerful statement of another's self value. The reason it may still be conceived by  #POC as odd is that it was once stripped of their heritage. But, I'm here to remind you that we came from this-- nurturers, givers, cultivators, griots and naturopaths. Our communities once had all black nursing schools, black MDs, black dentists and black midwives and we STILL do! The tragedy was that we were also forced to redirect our efforts towards the white gaze, the white middle class and the white folks' children, but no longer! We can reclaim what is ours. We MUST reclaim it! If we don't remember this we are doomed to forget it again and we simply CANNOT afford the loss! (P.S. ☀️ The SUN lighting this evening was too perfect NOT to take a picture 📸 • My Sunday was filled with Self-Care activities (hair blow out, nails manicured & yummy food with a good friend) - My weekend was filled with laughs and family and reflection 💭 .. • Here are some a few gems 💎 I want to share (random & in no particular order) - Just a few thoughts 💭 that have been surfaced in my alone time: • 1) Time is Short. As you grow older, it goes faster. Make sure you spend it the way you want to- not how others think you should ✊🏽 • 2) Most people have regrets. It’s normal. It’s how you react to them that makes the difference💭 • 3)Men seem way too sensitive these days 😮 . If a woman doesn’t respond to you; don’t have a tantrum. Can the return of masculine men come back?! Please 🙏🏽 • 4)No one is posting their failures. People “post” what they want you to see- Never compare your life to anyone’s filtered one on social media 💻 • 5) Don’t envy or put anyone on a pedestal. They have issues just like you; there’s no other person I would want to be 🤛🏽 • 6) Time stops for no one! Don’t waste it waiting for someone “to get it right” • 7) I’ll be Single until I meet someone who shows they’re willing to grow with me- not become a burden. I’ve worked too hard to be connected to anyone mediocre. • 8)If anyone seems too eager to connect, work or “post”’with you- be mindful. Motives play a big part/ they have theirs. • 9)Travel often. I was that kid in junior high and high school who was always reading those dark young adult fiction books about mental illness (which didn't concern my mother at all... lol). ▪︎ I think it is so healing to give people language for their experiences and offer them a place of non-judgment and unconditional positive regard. What does it mean to "show up for yourself"? Likely, showing up for yourself looks different with every new season you're in. Sometimes it's head down, challenging your old beliefs and showing up in a way you never have before. Sometimes it's stillness. Pausing. Taking a break and practicing the art of "good enough ". Sometimes it's a mixture of both. What I find to be true in all seasons is "showing up for yourself " requires attunment with yourself, alignment with your values and a continuous practice of self compassion.
